SLAYER Cancels ROSKILDE FESTIVAL Appearance
April 4, 2007SLAYER has cancelled its previously announced appearance at this year's Roskilde Festival, set to take place July 5-8 in Roskilde, Denmark. According to a posting on the Roskilde web site, "SLAYER have unexpectedly announced that they have decided to end their European tour on 1 July. Unfortunately, this means that they will not play Roskilde Festival this summer — though they had been confirmed. We know that many of you have looked forward to hearing SLAYER live, and that this announcement will be received with disappointment. We can only agree — it really is a shame."
As BLABBERMOUTH.NET reported earlier today, SLAYER has also dropped off Finland's Ruisrock festival, which will be held July 6-7 in Turku, Finland.
SLAYER and MARILYN MANSON will co-headline a North American major-market summer tour beginning on July 25 on the East Coast. Plans are for the tour to play some twenty-five cities and wrap up early September on the West Coast. A full, confirmed schedule will be announced shortly. SLAYER and MANSON will each play full sets, and two support bands, yet to be determined, will open all shows.
